Welcome!

Lairhillock School is a non-denominational nursery and primary school situated in a beautiful open rural location, approximately 6 miles from Stonehaven and 6 miles from Peterculter, Aberdeen. The catchment area stretches from just east of Durris on the South Deeside Road across to Blairs in the East and as far south as Fishermyre. We offer places from nursery through to Primary 7 and currently have 25 children in the nursery and 137 in the primary classes. We are part of the Stonehaven Mackie Academy catchment area although some of our children move on to other associated high schools within Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City.

Lairhillock School opened to pupils on the 16 April 2007 and was officially opened by Provost William Howatson on 12 March 2008. We offer a modern, well-equipped and well-maintained building together with fabulous grounds for learning and play. The school is proud to have achieved SIX Green Flags through the Eco Schools Scotland Award Scheme.

We are currently focussing on Ready, Respectful Safe for learning. Through our Pupil Leadership Groups we are striving to make sure everyone is focussed on the school values of Community, Learning, Responsibility, Environment, Kindness, Wellbeing and Dreaming Big ! We are proud to share our work and achievements through Twitter.

We are fortunate to have a supportive body of parents throughout the school and an enthusiastic and hard working Parent Council, who promote a wide range of social and fund raising events for the good of our school.
